Pension Management/Forecasting Software (PMS) is a fully parameterized asset/liability valuation and projection system for defined benefit pension plans. PMS incorporates a detailed actuarial valuation system that links it to the traditional annual actuarial valuation. The software is used to develop asset allocation strategies, evaluate funding alternatives, develop budget estimates, monitor pension expense and surplus, forecast benefit payments, assist in union negotiations and assess the impact of strategic decisions on employee benefit costs and liabilities.

The software enables the plan sponsor to improve its in-house planning and policy analysis capability and to reduce the time and cost associated with relying on outside actuaries and consultants for quantitative support. We provide consulting support to insure that the sponsor is effectively using its capabilities.

Investment Policy Analyst (IPA) is an optimization and simulation package. It deals with the asset side of investment policy and is used either as a stand-alone tool or in conjunction with one of the forecasting software packages. The functions it performs include asset allocation optimization, rate of return and asset value projection, calculation of probabilities of meeting goals, analysis of historical data, scenario forecasting and assessment of risk tolerance.

Endowment & Foundation Analyst (EFA) is a policy analysis and financial planning tool for endowments and foundations. It focuses on the key problem most such institutions face: how to satisfy current demands while at the same time maintaining the real value of the fund. The software shows how different asset allocation and spending policies taken together will perform in a wide range of simulated economic scenarios.

Retiree Health Analyst (RHA) deals with post retirement health benefits.  It is comparable to the pension model in terms of functionality, level of deal and user options.  It is a complete actuarial model that will permit detailed breakdown of both claims costs and health care cost trend rate into the components specified in Statement of Financial Accounting Standards No. 106.
